Founded in July 1991 as Alaska’s first community foundation, the Homer Foundation serves area nonprofits and worthy projects that enhance the lives of people in our service area.

Started by a few committed visionary volunteers with a little seed money, we have grown to a professionally staffed organization with a dedicated board of trustees encouraging philanthropy and over-seeing grants supporting nonprofits on the southern Kenai Peninsula from Ninilcik to Nanwalek.

To date we have given out over $3.6 million in grants and scholarships supporting youth, education, basic needs like hunger and homelessness, sports clubs, arts of all types and environment and conservation efforts.

Thank you to our Sponsors!

The best communications inspire and motivate people; this focused course will take communications to a higher level. Throughout the years, we have compiled data and feedback from HomeChoice™ participants who have shared their real-life experiences in their personal real estate transactions.

This course will give real-life overviews of common consumer experiences in today’s market from a client’s perspective from data derived from class polls and feedback. The course provides ways to develop the knowledge, skills, and ability that deepen business and personal relationships, which helps clients complete the transaction and feel satisfied with the process to generate more leads and referrals.
